The British Embassy in Asunción is now accepting proposals for the 2019/2020 financial year (26 August 2019 – 20 December 2019). The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, 19 July 2019 (till the middle of the night, Paraguay time).
Call for bids
In these 12 months, the British Embassy will run a competitive bidding manner looking to assist initiatives and sports as much as USD 8,000 that deliver actual and measurable results in Paraguay’s development guide. All expenses need to qualify as Official Development Assistance (ODA), as described by way of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the promoting financial improvement and welfare of the human beings of Paraguay as the primary goal. We are mainly interested in task proposals focused on the subsequent thematic regions of work:
Inclusive Economic Growth and Improvement of the Business Environment
Projects aiming to support inclusive monetary boom and development for rural and concrete deprived agencies; increasing duty and transparency in critical economic sectors or government institutions; supporting reforms and implementation of policies aimed toward promoting situations for open markets, consisting of, but no longer restricted to promoting competitiveness, streamlining approaches to facilitate exchange, increasing sustainability and innovation, tackling corruption and bureaucracy, lowering the capability for illicit trade, economic crime, and cash laundry.
Human Rights
They are strengthening freedom of the press and safety of journalists and media workers and supporting their legal rights; growing participation of women in politics for positions of leadership and impact; increasing equality and non-discrimination; reducing violence against women, LGBT+, Afro-Paraguayan network, indigenous human beings, and other disadvantaged businesses; raising cognizance and promoting gender equality; strengthening democratic governance and the rule of law.
