New Delhi: The Modi authorities may want to make playschool an obligatory part of schooling soon to offer youngsters an early headstart in life, ThePrint has learned. Playschool usually refers to schooling in the years preceding pre-college, which teaches under Class 1 in India. Both include classes through play and video games to ease students into formal education.
The authorities will push to encompass mandatory schooling for three months within the Right to Education Act, which presently governs schooling for six-to-14-year-olds, assets inside the HRD ministry instructed ThePrint.
